Enermax Sound Deadening Panel Now Has Fire Rating
Since 1998, Enermax has been considered a superior sound deadening panel. The residential construction market has adopted the product and several thousand homes now have Enermax in the wall, floors and ceilings.
Building Products of Canada has made the decision process easier and is proud to announce that Enermax now has a one hour fire rating within a system tested as per UL S-101.
The system tested was a STC-53 interior division wall with metal studs.
Along with this new rating, Enermax users will benefit from all the environmental properties that come standard with wood fibre board which can help attain certain LEED credits. Enermax is made from recycled material (14% post consumer, 85% post industrial).
Enermax contains no VOCs which makes it a low-emitting material. Even the glue used to laminate the aluminium vapour retarder is soy and waterbased. The lack of any powerful solvents helps to keep the indoor environment a comfortable and
healthy place to live.
When being installed, a simple utility knife can be used to cut the panels which virtually eliminates any tiny particles to enter the air and invade workers' nasal passages and lungs.
Thanks to its new fire rating and environmentally friendly qualities, Enermax offers total comfort for homes, offices and small businesses.
Enermax is a responsible way to attain a quiet and peaceful interior space. It's sound thinking for sound deadening.
